Welcome to our Non Profit Assiciation Babsy!

Dear interested parties, parents and guardians, child carers and babysitters, supporters of topics related to family, childcare, family support, work-life balance, equal opportunities, fairness, social issues, sustainability, integration, intercultural exchange, innovation and warmth:

We are pleased to welcome you to our loving and committed community! The charitable association “Babsy” was founded in 2018 to offer families reliable and low-threshold care organization assistance for their children. We have set out to build a safe and simple marketplace for families and caretakers to search for and find each other. Our goal is to create a safe, happy and inspiring place where verified users can build their childcare network. Today the Babsy-App is live and making a difference in our community, as we continue to develop the platform.

At Babsy we are working on a variety of other new projects, programs and activities that aim to make the world of childcare simpler and fairer. Our projects are diverse and directed to wards the needs and interests of families of all shapes and sizes.

Our hope is that Babsy is not just a place where you find childcare solutions, but also find a place of connection. We encourage parents, sitters and anyone interested to get to know us, join in actively participating in Babsy projects, and bringing childcare innovation to life.

About Babsy

Founded in September 2018 as a small association of 2 women who had a vision, it was always about solving parents’ problems in finding suitable childcare and at the same time offering a great opportunity for sitters.
With more reinforcement, the topics grew and meanwhile the aim is to make the entire childcare system a bit fairer and to contribute to making the world of childcare a simpler and at the same time safe world.
Babsy is also politically committed to more fairness for families, easier administration for parents and sitters, and the creation of more jobs for carers.

Vision

Babsy wants to be the safest childcare platform in German-speaking countries. Safe childcare at all times must not be a lucky hit, it is a right.

Babsy’s vision is to provide reliable childcare anywhere, anytime. The aim is to create a kind of neighborhood help XXL on an online basis with a simple platform in order to be able to offer parents support and trustworthy and loving childcare in various situations.

Our Mission

Babsy wants to help everyone find the right care for their family when they need it without the hassle of interviews, pohne calls and schedule checking. Our unque platform helps parents find qualified sitters who are available on short notive of long termin work and helps streamline the process of sitters finding jobs.

Run by a volunteering board, Babsy adresses the real struggle many parents face today. Working, stay-at-home, or single parents households, all can feel confident they can find a solution for their unique family needs.

Babsy inspires parents, children and babysitters. The aim of the association is to find babysitters that are currently available. This makes childcare available anywhere, anytime and makes for great childcare job opportunities. It is particularly important to Babsy to see childcare holistically and to reach people who “fall through” the existing childcare network due to working hours or unforeseen events. Babsy is currently available in the cantons of Basel-Stadt, Baselland, Aargau and Solothurn and thus covers northwestern Switzerland extremely well. The concept has already been successful with over 900 bookings and makes it easier for parents and carers to search and find each other in a trusting and safe environment.

Many parents are familiar with the following situations: You are looking forward to a romantic evening or an appointment with friends. The babysitter canceled at the last minute. A meeting lasts longer or the child is ill and cannot go to daycare. In situations like these, it is difficult to find a suitable babysitter on short notice. This is where Babsy comes in and helps parents to quickly find a reputable and conscientious babysitter. But Babsy has also proven itself when looking for recurring or long-term care solutions.
